Link Road
You descend a long hill on the Link Road, past a
defunct camera, and cross the River Exe near a weir. At the large roundabout turn right into
Tiverton
At the next roundabout, swing round it and continue in
your same direction: don’t turn left.
At the next roundabout, with the swimming pool to your
left, go straight ahead: don’t turn
right.
Continue up the hill, past St Peter’s church where you
have to turn left, and along to the traffic lights at a complex corner, with
ATS to your right.
Turn right at the corner and immediately left (you
have no choice), along William Street, past the launderette and the open-air
car park.
At the T junction follow the road round to the right,
and go on down the slope.
At the T junction at the bottom, turn left.
Do not turn immediately left but cross the blue-railinged bridge and then
immediately turn left, off the road, in front of the clock tower and onto what
appears to be a pedestrian concourse.
Continue forward, leaving the police station on your
left, and at the double-driveway entrances ahead take the left driveway, between two hedges.
Wiggle round past the brick building and you pop out into the Island
garden. The Island is the grey-painted
villa ahead. Come up to the first
floor.
